Today I finally made the move to hang my beautiful, beloved, red ukulele on the wall so that I can see it, and be inspired by it, and be moved to play it much more often. Its name is Apapane [ah-pah-pah-ney] after a beautiful, red, Hawaiian songbird. I braided a hanger for it and then, hating to hear the sound of its body scrape the wall, I made a yellow felt songbird to keep it company and soften its place of rest.
